“In 2024, non-Indigenous friends of the Miami Nation of Indians of Indiana created the Honor Fund in partnership with tribal members. We based the fund on models of Indigenous land tax programs across the country in an effort to repair centuries of harm the Miami people experienced and continue to experience as a result of colonization. The Honor Fund exists to encourage our broader community to support Indigenous land and community preservation. Both financial contributions and land transfers are accepted.
